Wow, where to begin? We could write a novel about how amazing Monica Sagullo and the Hatch Realty team are in what they do. This is going to be long, but one thing we’d like a reader to take away from this review is that Monica will help you buy a home with the care and consideration as if she were the one purchasing it for herself. You will feel her utmost respect for this daunting process and hold your hand every step of the way. We are first time home buyers in the Bay Area. Buying in the Bay Area initially felt like hoping to win the lottery - hopeless! We didn’t know where to begin and what we needed to prepare. After a number of months of looking and feeling discouraged, we decided to reach out to Monica after hearing wonderful things from a family member who had experience with her and her team. She immediately made us feel like a VIP client listening carefully to our wants and needs for our dream home. Just with our first phone call with Monica, we already felt a newfound confidence and sense of security - both of which proved well-founded. Just within a day, she and her team already sent us a tailored list of houses that met our criteria. After every round of open houses, we discussed what we liked and didn’t like with her. She often joined us and gave us the insider scoop on what neighborhoods and areas to try next. She showed us diverse neighborhoods and helped us uncover hidden gems! Eventually, when we found a house we liked enough to make an offer, we found we only had 3 days before offers were due! We knew nothing about what it took to generate an offer. That’s when we realized that Monica has a full team of superstars like her that are part of her network. She was able to help us get pre-approved and draft up a compelling offer in record time! Even though we know Monica was super busy at the time, she still followed up on every aspect of the house for us even reading every page of the disclosures and sending us detailed notes on all the highlights, providing us with estimates on how much repairs would potentially cost, giving us ideas of how this compares to other homes, and offering general feedback on whether a home is truly a good value. The lending agent she introduced us to was the nicest of all the agents that we have chatted with. Shoutout to Nick Toy of BoA - such an amazing and pleasant guy to work with! Getting outbid on that first house was quite an emotional rollercoaster but Monica always had pearls of wisdom and assured us that the right house for us would come. She always made sure that we were not swayed to overpay for a home no matter how excited/overwhelmed/panicked we became especially during bidding wars. To give context as to what Monica was helping us deal with - the 1st home we bid on sold for over 300k asking price! You can imagine how discouraging it could be. However, she encouraged us to get back on the horse and keep searching after we got outbid the second time as well. For the third house we placed an offer for, she truly pulled out all the stops to make us as competitive as possible. She was in constant communication with the selling agents and learned exactly what the buyers were looking for. She determined their price point and that having a fast close was important. Even though the sellers received a number of competitive offers, they picked us - nothing short of a miracle! We were over the moon! We knew that Monica had willed our dream into a reality by drafting such a great offer package. She then walked us through all the steps from being in contract to close. We had promised a fast close ~20 days because that’s what the buyers wanted and Monica set up all the ducks in a row to make that happen. She was always so generous with her time and held our hand through the entire process. She is extremely sharp, competent and knowledgeable. We felt so lucky to have an amazing agent by our side. She is also just an incredibly nice, warm, and generous person - so easy to talk to! ?When we finally got the keys during closing day, Monica had a big red bow placed on the door for us and commemorative champagne. She made our special day feel even more special. Even though she didn’t need to at all, she continued to help us with all the repairs and renovations we wanted to do. She met with us and her general contractors and flooring specialists. Now we are done with our renovations and have finally moved in. Monica not only helped us find the perfect house for us under our budget - she also helped us transform it truly into a dream home. Even now when we text her something random like how do we pay property taxes, she is extremely responsive and helpful even though she is so busy and does not need to help us at this stage. We are forever grateful for all that Monica Sagullo, her superstar team at Hatch Realty, and her amazing extended team have done for us. They have truly made a dream that we thought was almost out of reach a reality.
